By accessing this website, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions of use and to comply with all applicable state and/or federal laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms and/or conditions, you may not access or use this website.
Errors, omissions or information provided by third parties
The materials appearing on the FePA website may contain errors of any kind, including, without limitation, typographical or photographic errors. FePA does not warrant that these materials are accurate, complete or current. FePA may make changes to the materials on its website at any time without notice. However, FePA does not commit to updating or replacing such materials.
FePA is not responsible, and you so accept, for errors or omissions on this website. FePA is also not responsible for any information or statements provided by third parties.
Membership
Each FePA member, including its representatives, employees, officers and directors, agrees to comply with all the terms and conditions of FePA membership (hereinafter, the “Terms and Conditions”) listed below.
Payment of the membership fee allows eligible persons to support FePA’s objectives and goals. Every member may volunteer in FePA programs and receive discounts on its activities and educational programs.
Membership eligibility
Any person over 18 years of age may apply for FePA membership who: (a) is actively involved or interested in the protection and welfare of animals, (b) is interested in upholding and supporting FePA’s objectives and goals, and (c) agrees to comply with all rules, guidelines and codes of ethics that FePA implements now or in the future.
Membership application
All membership applications shall be made through the FePA website. A membership application will not be official until payment of the annual membership fee, which is non-transferable, is confirmed. Such fee will only be refundable if FePA, in its sole discretion, decides to reject the membership application. No membership application will be rejected on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin or any other status protected by law.
By submitting a membership application, every FePA member agrees to comply with the terms and conditions set forth in this document and any others that FePA may establish from time to time.
Annual membership fee
The membership fee shall be a simple, fixed rate payable annually.
Individuals: The standard annual fee shall be $25.00, which will renew automatically.
Organizations: The standard annual fee shall be $100.00, which will renew automatically.
These amounts may be modified by FePA.
Membership term
The membership term shall be one year and will renew automatically once one year has elapsed from payment of the annual fee.
Automatic membership renewal
Members authorize FePA to charge the annual fee, as part of their FePA membership, to the credit card or debit card account the member has specified. Members agree that the credit card or bank account used for automatic payment is, and will remain, the property of the member. The member shall maintain sufficient funds in the account, or available credit on the card, for the fee to renew annually.
The automatic charge to the FePA member’s credit card, or debit to the member’s debit card account, will generally occur within two business days of the start of the new membership term. Once payment has been processed, the member will receive an electronic notification that the applicable annual membership fee has been charged to their card.
These terms and conditions shall constitute the record of the member’s authorization to FePA for automatic renewal of their membership.
Cancelling automatic membership renewal
FePA members may cancel their authorization for automatic renewal of their membership (with respect to the next annual fee not yet charged) at any time through their account on the FePA website, but no later than thirty (30) days before it expires. Membership cancellation requests must be sent to info@fepapr.org.
Communications policy
FePA will inform its members about its policies, objectives, results, decisions, projects and other matters, at its discretion, through communications in various media consistent with its mission and objectives.
Members and the general public may comment on and share the information FePA publishes, unless it is identified as confidential.
Members agree to receive communications from FePA at the email address they have provided.
Changes to the Terms and Conditions
FePA may change or alter the Terms and Conditions at any time, without notice of such change. Each person’s participation as a FePA member, or access to this website, shall be deemed acceptance of such changes.
Membership suspension and revocation
A member’s failure to comply with the Terms and Conditions may result, at FePA’s absolute discretion, in the suspension or termination of their membership.
Revocation or suspension of membership does not entitle the member to a refund of fees paid.
Revocation or suspension of membership initiated by FePA may take effect immediately. FePA will notify the member concerned of its determination.
Please note that there will be zero tolerance for inappropriate conduct, activities or messages that are humiliating, defamatory or vulgar, attacks on any person or their family, or any expression contrary to FePA’s principles or to animal welfare.
In addition, membership shall terminate automatically for any person who:
- resigns from membership;
- does not pay the annual renewal fee before the expiration date of the previous term;
- does not meet the membership eligibility requirements;
- commits and/or is convicted of (or reaches a plea agreement for) a felony in any jurisdiction;
- commits a crime, whether a misdemeanor or felony, related to any animal in any jurisdiction.
Confidential information
If any FePA member gains access to proprietary and confidential FePA content or information, or any content identified as confidential, the member shall keep such content confidential and protect it from third parties.
Contributions to FePA
Members may contribute to FePA in various ways, including, without limitation, by sharing ideas or by participating in committees, conferences and presentations. FePA members agree to grant, assign, transfer and/or license (exclusively, irrevocably, in perpetuity, throughout the universe and at no cost) all rights, title and interest in all content authored, conceived, made and/or developed for FePA, or delivered by the member (including its representatives, employees or other persons acting on the member’s behalf) to FePA, including, without limitation, content that (a) is provided with an express statement that it is a contribution to FePA, (b) is provided to FePA for inclusion in any FePA project, program or publication, (c) is developed in connection with FePA membership or the member’s participation in any FePA working group or committee, or developed by the member in connection with a presentation at a FePA event. Such content shall be the property of FePA, which shall have the right to use it, or any part of it, as it deems appropriate, but only in connection with the organization’s purposes.
